Eric Segundo, Ludlow's Director of Veterans Services

Born and raised in Brooklyn, New York, Eric moved to Massachusetts in 1999. In 2003 he enlisted in the Army where he served on active duty with the 3rd ID, 3rd Sustainment Brigade, in Fort Stewart, Georgia.  In 2005, Eric Deployed to Iraq in Support of Operation Iraqi Freedom.  Eric received numerous awards to include the Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal and the Combat Action Badge. 

After leaving the military Eric continued his mission of service to our military members, veterans and their families, joining the VFW in 2009. In 2013, Eric was hired to the position of Director of Veterans Services for the Town of Ludlow and continues in that position today. 


As Director, Eric is the chief advocate for Ludlow Veterans and their families. In 2015, Eric was awarded the "Outstanding VSO of the Year" by the Massachusetts Department of Veterans Services.

Jesus Pereira, Superintendent of the VAC of Winnegago County

A 21-year veteran of the Army, Pereira oversees the distribution of the organization's funds and supplies to benefit military Veterans and their families. As VAC Superintendent, his role will cover a wide range of responsibilities such as managing the daily operations, developing marketing initiatives and outreach programs, implementing strategies to improve efficiency, identifying training needs, as well as providing leadership and guidance to employees, volunteers, and clients.

"Jesus has the experience and energy to ensure that all Veterans in Winnebago County are aware of and have access to the valuable resources offered by the VAC," said Winnebago County Board Chairman Joe Chiarelli. "I welcome Jesus as the new VAC Superintendent and look forward to the good work he will do to expand services for Winnebago County Veterans."
